Robin A. Veldman, MA, CCC-SLP, PC
Robin received her Master's degree from the University of Maryland at College Park. Before starting her own practice, Robin worked in diverse pediatric settings including early intervention programs, preschools, daycares, and private practice in Maryland, Washington, DC, and Raleigh, NC. Most recently, Robin served as the Lead Speech-Language Pathologist for a large private practice in Raleigh where she worked for 6 years. She is experienced in the evaluation and treatment of children with a variety of communication problems related to:
- Autism Spectrum Disorders
- Childhood Apraxia of Speech
- Articulation and Phonological Disorders
Robin has received additional training in the use of the PROMPT technique
and is experienced with many treatment philosophies and methodologies.
ROBIN'S INTERESTS AND EXPERTISE:
- Early identification and treatment of infants, toddlers, and preschoolers
- Collaborating with families to maximize functional communication across environments
- Improving social language skills
- Improving reading readiness skills
In addition to working with children and adolescents, Robin has enjoyed consulting with parents of very young children who are at-risk for communication delays to provide them education and training to facilitate their baby's development of communication skills.
