Dr. Lorraine Matthews is a North Carolina licensed psychologist and works with school-aged and preschool-aged children. She received her doctorate in psychology from the State University of New York at Albany in 1996 and completed her undergraduate work at Rutgers University. Before starting her own practice, Dr. Matthews was the Lead Psychologist at a large multidisciplinary pediatric practice in Raleigh, where she worked for the previous 5 years. Her interests include assessment and intervention for neurodevelopmental problems such as autism spectrum disorders, AD/HD, and learning disabilities. She is also interested in working with children with adjustment difficulties and behavior problems. She enjoys working closely with parents in a supportive and collaborative manner in order to provide the optimal outcome for their family.
